Welcome to the web presence of Me – an educational interactive CD Rom for people with intellectual and learning disabilities, from adolescence to adulthood.

Everyone should have the right to education about relationships and how to live safely without fear or discrimination. Me is an interactive CD Rom to help achieve these rights for those who have special needs: those with intellectual or learning disabilities. This is a particular issue for those with special needs because the concepts are difficult to learn, and because the potential for abuse is so high.

.For many people, who take care of people with learning difficulties, the chance to teach effectively, basic everyday tasks is very rewarding.  It helps to empower and increase confidence for students and parents. There is nothing more satisfying than watching young people learn to live confidently within the scope of their own abilities.

Today Me is used in many homes, schools and organisations in New Zealand and Australia, and this number grows annually. The success of Me lies in its ease of use, and its core objectives which are teaching people with learning difficulties to master basic skills essential for having safe relationships. The range of topics covered includes: understanding boundaries, dating, breaking up and how to ask for help when bad things are happening to them such as bullying and abuse. Me is the result of a demand from parents and Health Professionals to provide education that makes a positive difference. Historically, people with learning disabilities have been educationally marginalised. Meaddresses this inequality and looks for continuous improvement by listening to the people most affected by intellectual disability.
